Tutorial: Ingest

Data INGEST is one of the key tasks of long-term preservation. In this phase data archives accept (digital) objects for preservation. One important aspect of this process are quality controls as the precondition to prepare digital objects for archiving according to the archives’ standards. For example this may include checking data for completeness and plausibility.
