CPA1.4 - Communication

Information

The organisation should have mechanisms in place to interact and communicate with relevant stakeholders to secure on-going expert guidance and feedback, to ensure the repositories continued relevance and improvement. The guidance and feedback could come from in-house experts but should also come from external expert users and communities.

GO1.4.1: Service communication planning

For each service the organisation provides to a Designated Community there is a communication plan.

GA1.4.1.1: Communication plan

A communication plan for the service is produced, and communication about the service to the relevant stakeholders is undertaken according to the plan.

(0) Not defined:

There is no communication plan for the service.

(1) Initial:

There is no communication plan, but there is some ad hoc communication about the service.

(2) Repeated/partial:

There is no communication plan, but there is consistent regular communication with relevant stakeholders.

(3) Defined:

A communication plan for the service is produced, and consistent communication about the the service to the relevant stakeholders is undertaken.

(4) Managed:

Communications with relevant stakeholders is monitored and managed.

(5) Optimised:

The communication plan is reviewed at regular intervals and updated if necessary based upon the monitoring of the communications.
